Tree Pruning

Our mission is to save our trees. Therefore, tree health is imperative to future generation survival. Proper tree maintenance is the key to ensure healthy trees and healthy living. Tree pruning is based on objectives of safety, tree health, tree function and aesthetics. All pruning work is specified according to industry standards in accordance with ANSI A300. We can help determine the type of pruning necessary to maintain or improve the health, appearance and safety of your trees. These techniques include:

  • Raise: Removing of limbs that overhang structures, gutters, roofs, chimneys, windows, or limbs that obstruct drive ways, walk ways and street to provide vertical clearance and elevation.
  • Clean: Removal of branches that are dead, diseased, weak  and/or broken to reduce the risk of limb failure.
  • Thin: Removal of branches to reduce density of live branches to increase light penetration.
  • Reduce: Removal of branches to decrease height and/or spread.
  • Restoration: Removal of branches to improve the  structure, form and appearance of trees that have been damaged.
  • Vista Pruning: Removal of branches to allow a specific view.

Tree Removal

Although tree removal is the last resort, there are circumstances when it is necessary and removal is recommended:

  • When the tree is dead or dying
  • When the tree is hazardous
  • When the tree is causing obstruction that is impossible to correct through pruning
  • When the tree is crowding and causing harm to other trees
  • When the tree is to be replaced by a more suitable specimen
  • When the tree is located in area where construction requires removal
  • When the tree is located too close to a building, to prevent more extensive structural damages to the foundation

Stump Grinding

We use equipment that grinds unwanted stumps 6"-12" below grade. The holes are generally backfilled with the mulch from

the grinding process. Usually there is a mound of debris that is left behind, which can be used as mulch. Upon request,

excess debris can be removed.

Free Wood  and Chips

Wood and chips are recycled whenever possible, either as fuel or as landscape materials. However,

we have to drop it off at the recycling center and pay a disposal fee, we prefer giving it away to friends

and neighbors free of charge.

Remember, chips are freshly ground, may vary in quality and may contain a mixture of leaves, wood

and bark. Our crew cannot provide a partial load if the truck is full. Wood chips are best used as mulch

in landscapes.

We keep a wood and chips log at the office, please call us for details and we'll take your information.

The next time we are in your area, we'll drop the load off at your house free of charge.
